Nottingham Trent University wanted to launch their mission to capture high calibre research leaders with a captivating and engaging campaign.
NTU wanted to reach out to people who have big ideas and world-changing visions but need support and funding to help them bring it to fruition. The microsite focuses on recruiting for key leadership and research roles.
An institute of excellence
In recent years, NTU has earnt the Times Higher Education 2017 ‘University of the Year’ title, as well as the Times and Sunday Times ‘Modern University of the Year’. The careers microsite focuses heavily on the dedicated and industry-leading staff it already employs. Using impactful video and photography, we created a sophisticated and professional site for the university.
Captivating cinematography
The "I See Possibilities" campaign film needed to focus on the stories and achievements of those it featured. Keeping the cinematography clean and simple with a black and white finish, the subjects are the sole focus of the video. The script is shared between the subjects to show the collaboration that the university is centred around. All teams working in harmony, but each achieving different goals.
Each subject has an individual case study video explaining their research and how the support from NTU has helped them to realise their ambitions.
Results
In 9 weeks, the campaign attracted over 80 applications for the four advertised positions. For three positions, NTU was able to shortlist four applicants, with two applicants shortlisted for the remaining position. In the feedback we received for the campaign, it was stated that NTU are confident of filling the vacancies with high-quality people who will further establish NTU as a place of pioneers.
Following the success of the first I See Possibilities campaign, NTU’s Business School also wanted to roll out a campaign site. Using the original site as a basis, we worked collaboratively with NTU’s own video company, Spool. We provided the script and creative concept, Spool carried out the filming, and we designed, built and populated the website. It is a testament to the success of our original campaign that other Schools at NTU wish to utilise the concept and content.
