After the success of their lead generation campaign, the University of Southampton asked us to create a welcome video to be shown to each year of new students.
Opting for stop motion video, the 120-second video uses a combination of over 500 still images with props and hand drawn animations to make the video come to life.
Working closely with the university to plan and write the script, the video was shot at the outstanding state-of-the-art studios, Audiomotion, home for major Hollywood blockbusters such as Maleficent and Iron Man 2. The film took extensive planning and storyboarding to allow for complete fluidity on the day of filming and post production.
Keen to get the students involved, we enlisted the help of three postgraduate and undergraduate Southampton students as well as 10 crew members from Syndicut and Metropolis studios.
